The 10th ICPP will be held from August 11 – August 14, 2010 at the International School for Philosophy (ISVW), Leusden, The Netherlands. The official language is English.
The main theme is EXPERIENCE IN PHILOSOPHICAL PRACTICE. We offer 16 masterclasess and about 60 workshops and seminars from all methods and application fields of philosophical practice. Contributions are made by practicing philosophers from 26 countries in 5 continents.

The Peruvian Society of Philosophical Counseling and Philosophical Practice (SOPECPRAFIL) will participate at this X International Conference represented by its member Carmen Zavala

The Peruvian Society of Philosophical Counseling and Philosophical Practice (SOPECPRAFIL) has been mainly promoting Philosophical Counseling, Philosophy with Children and Philosophical Cafés in Peru since 2001. The following activities are being organized/have been organized by the organization since then:

The Peruvian Society of Philosophical Counseling and Philosophical Practice (SOPECPRAFIL) has the following goals:

Promoting Philosophical Counseling and Philosophical Practice in Peru through the organization, promotion and support of publications, conferences, workshops and other events in the planning, execution as well as in all kinds of related research with theoretical-scientific purposes in the following way:

1. Creating, based on philosophical counseling, the appropriate conditions to provide humane and effective help to people with concrete questions and vital problems, respecting and supporting philosophical counselees as autonomous and responsible human beings. Philosophical counseling can be requested by individuals, groups or institutions.

2. Organizing events open to the general public (lectures, debates, conventions) dealing with global problems of public life and current vital problems, as far as they challenge philosophical theories and practice and as far as they put emphasis in clarifying and in suggesting possible solutions to the problems of sense in the contemporary world and in its orientation.

3. Appointing researches appropriated to foment the development of philosophical practice in the sphere of Philosophical Counseling, Philosophy with Children and Philosophical Cafés.

4. Promoting Philosophical counseling in its practical execution and in its theoretical development.

5. Offering training courses to develop philosophical counseling according to international established standards.

6. Accomplishing and encouraging updating courses and workshops to support and promote philosophical counselors in their activity to benefit the people and institutions who request philosophical counseling according to international established standards.

7. Establishing a continuous interchange of experiences between philosophical counselors, including on an international level. Promoting the spreading and interchange of experiences about philosophical practice in Peru and in the world.

8.
Starting a cooperation of mutual support in society with other counseling institutions, universities, schools and other educational or philosophical institutions. SOPECPRAFIL considers that it is its duty, in cooperation with philosophical academic institutions, to establish the frame and necessary conditions to reformulate and innovate the ways of teaching philosophy at universities, that should provide university students of Philosophy, from the very beginning, the necessary tools to face the challenges in the professional life as philosophical practitioners.
